Don't purchase it unless you intend to buy a wheel. It's meant for sim racing, not a simcade. Gran Turismo is a simcade, Pcars operates at a completely different standard. You'll never achieve the experience Pcars aims to provide when played with a controller. Perhaps you'll acquire it and enjoy it, but it will remain unused on your shelf since you believe the game should be played with a wheel. Just my opinion.
I own a G27 wheel myself. I also concur with the earlier comment.
I had to give it a shot but honestly it’s really tough to use the controller. The steering feels super off—even when you just push the left stick halfway, it takes you all the way into full turn and then suddenly oversteers, drifting, and spins out. Steering is definitely too difficult.
Using an Xbox controller, your settings are configured as follows: steering deadzone 0, steering sensitivity 0, throttle deadzone 0, throttle sensitivity 30, brake deadzone 10, brake sensitivity 15, clutch sensitivity 45, speed sensitivity 60, and controller filtering sensitivity 40 with advanced off.
