I understand I don't necessarily need to, but I prefer things to stay tidy and clean. If I don't, I'd opt for DDU. Upgrading from 5600X & 3060 Ti to 5700X3D and RX 9070 XT OC.

Honestly, it wouldn't be worth it with the same processor family and assuming the same motherboard. That CPU upgrade isn't really going to pay off unless you get an exceptional price on the newer model.
Definitely planning a fresh install of graphics drivers and getting some excitement from it.

Using the same motherboard, just reinstalling the OS isn't necessary unless issues appear.

Hello,
I didn't initially plan to upgrade the CPU, but I came across several discussions about similar upgrades. People mentioned that using the 5700X3D (with RX 9070 XT) significantly improved performance in games running at 5600x.

The 5700X3D offers performance close to a 9600x in games, achieving up to 4-5% better results than a 9600x. Upgrading to 4K later should extend your use of this platform for another 4-5 years, as my 5090 remains the main limitation at 4K with my 5800X3D.

For some random reason
I chose to try 7800X3D, New MoBo, Mem, PS, etc. I’ll either send the 5700X3D back or hand it to my kid, who has a 3600X. (The 7800X3D is on sale at Amazon for $340)
Clearly, I’m reinstalling the OS.

It would be a suitable enhancement for the children's computer if they rely on it often.
