I’m mostly satisfied with what I’ve received after reworking some movies and games. While extra coding time would help, it’s not a huge deal, but a new graphics card and better cooling would make a difference. My current setup is a 6800xt. I was thinking about the 58003d, but I’m not sure if it’ll really pay off. What do you think?

Why not simply use the AMD 5000 series and stop there?

It seems you're looking for advice on upgrading your system. For the 5800X3D with a 12900K, the choice of cooler and how you handle CPU usage, workload, and power limits matters. If you prioritize gaming performance, the 5800X3D is likely a better fit than the i9-12900K, especially if your motherboard is already compatible. The improvement depends on the games you play, their settings, and resolution.

It varies by motherboard; updating the BIOS and installing a Ryzen 5000 series CPU might offer more benefit than moving to an older system.

For a b550 or b450 board, upgrading to a 5800x3D is recommended—it's the top choice. (Are b550 and b450 actually AMD chipsets? Let me know if you're mistaken.)

Looking at 5950x, the encoding speed appears more advantageous for you. I’m fine with upgrading my RAM.
