Hello everyone, I’m facing a puzzling problem with my TCL 65r635 4K TV. Certain games only display at 4K resolution and 60Hz, no matter how I set the resolution in Windows or adjust it in-game. They always run in fullscreen mode instead of windowed borderless. Bethesda titles seem to be affected the most—I used to play Fallout 4 at 1440p/120Hz until pressing Alt+tabbing, after which it switched back to 4K/60Hz. I haven’t managed to return to 120Hz since. I usually enjoy gaming at 1440p with 120Hz and it works well in any game that supports fullscreen or windowed borderless settings. This issue appears mostly linked to windowed borderless mode, but I’ve never experienced it before on my previous system. I’d like a straightforward fix without permanent changes or workarounds. My PC specs are an MSI MoBo, Ryzen 5700X, and RX 6700XT. I don’t have this problem on older Nvidia systems either, and I haven’t tried different AMD drivers. Thanks in advance for any advice!

It could be a TV issue. Perhaps the firmware or hardware is set to a 60Hz refresh rate. It's not a PC monitor at all.
