I'm working on adjusting my system settings since the default startup time of 5600 causes it to always require a cold boot. After rebooting, it gets stuck in a slow startup loop even with memory context enabled and power-down disabled. The issue disappears when I increase RAM to 6000, though it occasionally freezes briefly during gameplay. It doesn't matter whether the clock speed is 2000 or 2100. I've set timing compensations using timings in nanoseconds, but many auto-timings become less accurate at 6000, which is normal, yet the transceiver actually tightens its settings. I searched for this option in my BIOS for the ASUS B650 Steel Legend Wi-Fi model, but couldn't find it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm using two 32GB modules and also experimenting with adjusting VDDG and VDDP voltages for better stability, though I don't know the default values. The HWInfo tool shows nothing about this, and my memory tests pass without errors in both configurations, with active cooling on the DRAM.
It's an internal timing process, not something you can adjust manually. It's determined through memory training. Unless you're targeting 6400MT/s in a 1:1 setup or 8000MT/s, it's not necessary—auto works fine. Likely both default to 1.05V, but these aren't voltages you should alter unless you're aiming for high-frequency operation.
If performance drops at 2000MHz, the CPU might be faulty—auto settings usually handle this. Consider updating the BIOS; newer versions could affect FCLK stability.
based on what I know, values under 3.25 should be avoided due to the overall performance issues. there was also a possible FCLK behavior across all BIOS versions, which got better over time but still caused reboots or no-start conditions with audio disabled—especially around FCLK 2000 and Expo 5600. It disappeared when RAM reached 6000, though I often see more freezes when the FCLK increases.
