Hey, I'm considering improving my PC setup.
Current specs: Monitor, Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 (240Hz), resolution 2560x1440 for demanding games, 5120 x 1440 for casual titles, motherboard ROG STRIX B550-F, RAM Kingston FURY Beast RGB DDR4 3600 MHz CL18 with 32GB, CPU AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, GPU MSI RTX 3080 VENTUS 3X 10G OC, power supply Corsair 750W RM750x.
Location is in the Nordics, budget is between 1000-2000€.
My aim is to boost FPS to around 240 in games like Battlefield 6.
I’ve looked into upgrades but need advice on what’s most effective and affordable.
Some suggest a CPU with 3D V-Cache, others recommend Radeon RX 9070 XT or an RTX 4080/5080.
I’d appreciate hearing opinions from the community before making a decision.

What is the model and specifications of your power supply unit? Its age is also relevant. These details assist us in gauging your current setup. If you've recently replaced your processor, expect significant costs for the motherboard and RAM upgrades, especially if you're targeting the 5700X3D platform or better. This assumes all other components are compatible and capable of supporting the changes. The RTX 3000 series can be problematic due to their high power consumption, which may strain your PSU. If your display resolution is 1440p, consider pairing it with an RX 9070 XT or RTX 5070 Ti alongside a Ryzen 5 9600x or newer.

Play these games at reduced settings, focusing on simplicity. This helps the graphics card perform better. An increase in FPS suggests your CPU can handle a higher graphics setup. If FPS remains unchanged, it means your CPU is more constrained.

Despite having a 9800X3D and an RTX 5080, achieving 240 fps in Battlefield 6 at 1440p can be challenging. You may need to reduce certain settings and apply upscaling.

If you're aiming for high frame rates, you'll need to be prepared to lower other settings, as the CPU will have the most significant effect. For BF6, achieving a minimum of 240 Hz is highly unlikely regardless of the CPU you choose, but a 9800X3D is the best option available. I haven't found many CPU performance comparisons for BF6, but Steve from HUB shared some:

It seems selling a kidney could potentially allow achieving over 240 frames per second using a 9800x3D display and an RTX 5090 graphics card.

I haven't come across that country before. Could you assist us in finding its location on the map? This will help us verify the information on PC PartPicker.
