Are these temperatures ok?
Are these temperatures ok?
Hello,
I'm new to this forum and not a gamer (just as ASUS FAN).
Could you please tell me if these temperatures are ok after a stress test?
Onlly 8GB of RAM because my 16GB pack had a problem and i'm waiting for the new ones.
Your ambient temperature was recorded as standard or normal (22°C or 72°F). The tests you were performing are listed. You are running cooling solutions. The peak core temperature reached 71°C with all cores operating at 4.5 GHz, 1.280 core voltage, and 61 Watts. Given the i7 7700K's 91 Watt rating, this corresponds to a workload of only 67% of its Thermal Design Power (TDP), equivalent to about two-thirds of capacity. The operating range for core temperatures is noted as above 85°C not being recommended. Core temperatures fluctuate based on ambient conditions. Even at 71°C, without knowing your actual ambient temperature or cooling setup, we can estimate that if you continued...
Your ambient temperature was recorded as standard or normal, which is 22°C or 72°F. The tests you were performing are listed, and the cooling system you have is active. The highest core temperature reached was 71°C with all cores operating at 4.5 GHz, 1.280 core voltage, and 61 Watts. Given that your i7 7700K processor consumes 91 Watts, this indicates you were operating at only 67% of the thermal design power, or about two-thirds of the workload. The acceptable temperature range for cores is shown below: Temperatures above 85°C should be avoided. Core temperatures fluctuate based on ambient conditions. Even though 71°C is within the current limits, without knowing your actual ambient temperature and cooling setup, it’s likely you wouldn’t have sufficient cooling to keep cores under 85°C during full load, particularly in warmer environments. For more details, see the Intel Temperature Guide:
The room temperature was around 20°C and I was using the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. The cooling solution is the Cooler Master Seidon 120v V3 Plus. I hope everyone can help me raise these temperatures.
Sorry to interrupt your message, but the AIO 120 isn't very suitable for high temperatures like 7700K, nor are they ideal for any i7 processors. If your case can't fit a 240 or more, you'll be better off with a big-air cooler, unless your setup doesn't allow that either. Also, it's good to note that big-air generally operates more quietly than AIO units.
