I was researching a new gaming headset recently.
I mainly play competitive FPS games and also enjoy immersive co-op and single-player titles.
My existing setup is a Steel Series Arctis Pro with a GameDac (wired), which has served me well but is nearing the end of its life.
There’s an offer to purchase the new Arctis Nova Pro (wired) for $115 plus tax. Is this a worthwhile opportunity? The MSRP is about $249, making it a significant discount.
I often see recommendations for the Audeze Maxwells, but I haven’t found any under $300.
Are there other suggestions or aspects I should consider?

You can use devices like the HD599 or 560 with a modmic or desk mic. Open back designs offer better immersion, and the 560 provides a good soundstage and imaging, although it tends to be a bit brighter compared to the 599.
