Are these cheap steam key websites safe?
I'm pretty certain I bought from one of these websites before but don't know how they work. Steam has some DLC on for 7.99, which in the sale is usually 5.99. There's a website selling an activation key for 5.21, which is the cheapest I've ever seen. But are they legit? How do they work (IE, sell cheaper than Steam themselves?). The website that seems to have the best price is gamivo.com Thanks
Steam is cool because it has one central engine that lets me play many games on my computer. They all work fine right now. I've bought games from GameStop online before, and even though the keys were cheap for old titles, they broke them every time. The game wouldn't run at all. I also tried a site called GOG once. Even though they promised a refund if things didn't go well, it still wasn't worth my money. Honestly, Steam isn't that good of an option anymore.
Can you believe in Eneba or G2A when it comes to buying video games? The forums at tom.shardware.com tell us if these sites are safe.
One thing I like about Steam is that all games use one engine and support current computers. If a game comes out on Steam, it usually works fine. I've bought some games from GameStop online before for cheap keys to old titles. Each time was frustrating because the games wouldn't run right in my PC. I also tried buying something from GOG once or twice. That time didn't go well either, but they said they would give me a refund if needed. Honestly, it's just not worth spending money on these things.
