I thought it might be useful to share this experience because I’m wondering if others beyond me are still dealing with WiFi problems on Windows 11 24H2. I’ve just installed a fresh version last week, but after the latest update my connection remains slow. Microsoft released KB5052093 for 24H2 to fix the SSH connection issue, yet the problem persists. Since my home network works fine, I’m unsure if the fix was complete or if another factor is at play. I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps, but it’s been tough to pinpoint the cause. Here’s my current build list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VfsXh7. I haven’t tested everything yet, but I’m still trying to figure this out. If anyone else has faced similar issues or knows a solution, please let me know—I appreciate your help!

Actually...there is one issue I have, sometimes if I connect to my wifi it'll be incredibly slow on my new laptop (win 11 specs in sig) I thought it might be my (very) old router, but then if it works... (Typically just have to reconnect) it's fast. Almost faster than on my desktop which is connected through CAT6 ... So yeah, idk but there seems to be some issues with 24h2... Actually tons... Just the same as it was in one of the early win 11 betas, it's not a good OS and never will be ... Me thinks!

The router is a Netgear RAX10 AX1800, and the access point is a Netgear WAX204 AX1800. The AP spreads the 5GHz frequency across our 1100 square foot, single-story home. All the information on the dashboards for both devices appears correct and functioning properly. I can confirm myself that the Netgear equipment isn’t responsible here.

It's clear that outcomes will differ based on the tools and configurations people have. Still, it's undeniable that Microsoft has made efforts to address these problems since its initial release...

I've been using a TP-Link AXE5400 with an Intel Wi-Fi 6e AX210 chip in my setup after switching to Windows 11. My Linksys MX4200 router, which has two mesh nodes, is performing just like other devices on the network.

I wonder if the adjustment in how you're talking to the Wi-Fi is what caused the issue with 24H2. Have you attempted to delete the network and then re-add it as a Wi-Fi connection? The next step could be reviewing the advanced settings to see if they allow negotiation of a specific type and encryption.

Yes, I'm using the newest Windows 11 version. Your connection speed is performing well and meets the required standards.

It was configured carefully, and I’m confident everything is in order. Since it’s already on our local WiFi network, there’s no need to remove or re-add it. I attempted to switch to the router, which is farther away from my device, but the connection speed dropped, even though there were few physical barriers. It seems more like a signal loss, possibly due to interference, rather than any hardware issue. The setup uses WiFi 6 on the 5GHz band, which doesn’t require any changes. I don’t modify adapter settings and prefer leaving them as default.

Your internet service offers full-duplex symmetric fiber, but your local Wi-Fi speed is much lower at about 300Mbps.
