The restarts occur unpredictably at first, sometimes while playing games (randomly on helldivers, possibly just the game itself). At other times, when I changed settings in cyberpunk, my screen would freeze, turn black, and then return to the home screen as if it had restarted. However, my GPU, RAM, and fans didn’t change color or behave differently compared to a normal restart. Last night’s full restart felt like random updates for Windows 11, but the viewer shows a critical error. I’m not sure what could cause these issues, so I’m checking other questions for possible clues and feeling really overwhelmed.

Event 41(63) handles a restart by running a report each time and creating an event if the previous start was unexpected. It’s essentially a reaction mechanism. If you’re not seeing BSOD and just restarting, it might point to hardware issues. If memory were the problem, you’d likely see more BSODs or other errors. It could be related to the GPU—running benchmarks would help confirm. If it crashes during testing, you could rule out the GPU. For the PSU, a standard one should suffice; I checked the Corsair model but already had an idea. I own the same PSU but only a 7900 XT. Are you using separate power cables for each PCIe connection on the GPU? The RGB controls are managed by Gigabytes software, which can sometimes have startup issues before. It’s usually the last component to change at boot.

I've benchmarked my gpu on multiple games over the past week just to see what all I could play and I havent had an issue.
Tonight I'll make sure all of my cables are fully connected and I have all uniqe cables going to my gpu (I couldn't get a cord to go into multiple sockets if I tried, they're not long enough)
I've actually been seeing multiple posts on this forum with either a 7900xtx and a 7800x3d or just the 7800x3d. I've seen another poster suggest turning off freesync stating that fixed his issue so im going to try that.
Also I am using gigabytes rgb is there another software I should use that's free?
