Are there games that once worked well now causing issues?
Over the past few months, my PC has been struggling and failing to run games smoothly. I've run several malware scans with no results, drivers are all current, and power settings are set to maximum performance. I've been looking through online forums for similar issues, but so far no solutions have been found. My system has the Intel Core i7 12700, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, and 32 GB of RAM. For reference, I'm only managing a stable frame rate in River City Girls, a 2D beat em up.
Didn't mention temperatures. Observe CPU temperature during operation. Use Core Temp monitoring and track speed as well.
What cooling solution are you employing?
Which power supply unit do you have? Model and its age.
Have you experienced any crashes, lockups, restarts, or shutdowns?
What version of Windows are you using?
What is the status of your storage, and how full is the operating system drive?
Have you attempted a Windows reinstallation?
In the worst case, my cores never exceed 60 Celsius (my Tj Max is 100).
I recently added a few fans for the CPU.
I don’t know my PSU model or how to verify it; I purchased the machine ready-made from Dell about a year ago.
There are no random shutdowns, but the computer occasionally freezes.
I’m using Windows 11.
I tried a system reset, but it didn’t help.
Upload some images of the cpuz memory tab and task manager memory tab to verify if all 32GB of RAM is accessible and not reserved. Freezing might be linked to memory problems; reseating or swapping the RAM can sometimes resolve issues. Consider running Memtest86 to check for defective memory sticks. Instructions are available on the provided link.

No signs of issues with RAM or storage. Consider a complete Windows reinstall. Download the media creation tool from Microsoft, locate the Windows 11 version, and follow the setup instructions. Ensure your USB stick is ready, then configure it after installation. Always back up important data beforehand.
Before shutting down the system, how much space is available on your storage devices? It seems you have one internal drive and the other two are external. Which drive is where the game is installed?
You start your PC and check the model name on the PSU info label. What CPU cooler are you using? You can run the userbenchmark test and get a link to the results page. Also, take a screenshot from CPU-Z showing the memory and speed sections.
The fastest drive available still offers around 360 gb of space, and all games perform poorly no matter which drive is used.
I don’t notice any PSU model labels on my computer.
Dell XPS 8950 Performance Results - UserBenchmark
Observed severe overheating on your CPU in Userbench, particularly noticeable at the turbo speed. It seems either the UB is incorrect or your temperature readings aren't matching the speed accurately. Make sure the CPU cooler hasn't failed. In fact, your images confirm this issue. It might be a power-saving mode issue; Ub would likely wake the CPU, indicating it's being throttled.
