Are there any problems with the Start Up Fancontrol issue?
Are there any problems with the Start Up Fancontrol issue?
The fancontrol software functions properly once I'm logged into the desktop. All my case fans operate as expected. Even when I stop the fans, they gradually return to full speed until they completely shut down. I've set the BIOS fan configurations to the default. Do you know how to handle this?
When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's important to provide detailed system specifications. List them clearly as follows:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Include the BIOS version for your motherboard. How the fans are connected to your system and their settings regarding your build's performance.
CPU: i9 12900k
EKWB Vector cpu waterblock
Asus z690 Gaming Pro
Corsair Dominator DDR4 2x8 gig
Samsung 980 Pro 1 Ter., WD Black M.2 1 Ter
GPU: Asus Tuff 3080 oc 12g
PSU: Corsair HX750i
Windows 11 Home
Bios version: 2305
I have my fans cooling for the cpu package temperature.
You might expect software to function even when it's not loaded because before loading the fan speed remains as set in the BIOS, and after unloading it should operate normally. You could attempt to adjust settings like ASUS AI Cooling to enabled in Windows to see if it can override the default behavior.
Dust clearing, haha. It’s loud and bothersome, and it seems to add extra wear. I looked at my bios and adjusted the fans—now they’re quiet during startup. I thought I’d done that before. Thanks for the advice.
Edit: After a few restarts, the fans return to full speed until the software launches. This also occurs when I don’t use Fancontrol with Windows. Could it be a Windows or BIOS issue?
Focus on identifying variations: such as fan control being enabled or disabled.
Check Task Manager, Reliability History, Event Viewer, and Task Scheduler.
Task Manager might show some hidden or unexpected tasks through the Start menu; these could be suspects.
Reliability History and Event Viewer may display related error codes, warnings, or events just before or during the fans reaching full speed.
Task Scheduler could indicate an application or utility being activated during shutdown.
Use Process Explorer (Microsoft, free) to list all active processes.

You can also use built-in Windows troubleshooters—they might detect and resolve issues.
Run "sfc /scannow" and "dism" to check for corrupted files.
It was mentioned that the issue ceased once you set the fans.
Clarify what exactly happened during the reset: was it performed in Fan Control? What details were there?
Then examine the situation again while the fans are fully operational. Review all settings and tools, and restart if needed.
After resetting, check whether the fans return to normal behavior and see if any changes correlate with the fan activity.
I'm swapping out my 750w power supply for an 850w one since I'm experiencing crashes while gaming.
This change could resolve the fan control issue, let's find out.
THE SOFTWARE FAILS TO OPERATE UNTIL AFTER BOOT AND REMAINS UNRESPONSIVE EVEN AFTER CLOSING THE PROGRAM. IT DISAPPEARS COMPLETELY.
I know why I looked in the bios for my fan settings. They were set to run standard or silent. This hasn't caused any problems before I installed fancontrol. I noticed a delay during startup with fancontrol, so I adjusted it to the minimum of 1 second, which improved things. Still, when I shut down the PC, all the fans come up again.
