I suspect there might be an issue with my OC, as I returned my CPU from 4.5GHz back to its original clock speed. My main concern was BSODs, specifically Code 124, which occurred on Windows 7. Now I'm using Windows 10 and applied the same settings for my OC. The errors seem related to CPU threads, though I don’t have the log. This issue with the CPU thread was reported back in November 2016.

I’m unsure what went wrong or how to fix it. I understand that Haswel CPUs generate a lot of heat, so I initially thought the problem was with my CPU overheating. That’s my current best guess.

Details:
- Motherboard: MSI Gaming z87-G45
- CPU cooler: Hyper 212 Evo
- Settings used: CPU Ratio 45, Fixed mode, VCCIN 2.00, Core Voltage Auto, etc.

Thoughts?

I don't use stress test software during overclocking or temperature monitoring.
