Are there any issues with games running on high-end PCs?
Most of the games I play consistently experience lag and stuttering. Recently, I upgraded my GPU and PSU due to concerns about a faulty GPU. I encountered problems like blue screens, screen flickers, and complete freezes that required restarting with the power button. The screen often displayed unusual patterns, such as strange pixels resembling "Space Invaders," typically occurring after about 5 to 10 minutes of gameplay. These issues persisted for several days before resolving, only to recur again. Over time, the situation seemed to worsen, prompting me to replace the GPU to investigate further. To date, I haven’t experienced crashes, but my frame rate has dropped significantly. I’m currently playing games like V Rising at around 40-50 FPS with noticeable stutters, and tests on other titles have yielded similar results.
I’ve performed some temperature checks, and everything appears normal—CPU reaches about 60-70% while GPU stays around 50-55%. The CPU can spike to 100% during stuttering moments.
If you have any suggestions or ideas, I’d be grateful for your input.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Have you used DDU to uninstall your previous GPU drivers, then shut down and installed the RTX 3060Ti manually, including the latest driver updates via an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator?
What is your motherboard's BIOS version?
I haven't completed the entire DDU process, but I'll attempt it now. The BIOS version/date for the motherboard is "American Megatrends inc. 0601, 19.03.2018".
Screen tearing often stems from the monitor and synchronization method you're employing. Are you aware of whether your display supports features beyond V sync? Which type of connection cable are you using?
