I recently purchased a brand new computer (just a few days old) and frequently encounter random freezes, but only affecting specific parts of the system. YouTube and Chrome sometimes freeze visually while audio remains active. The Logitech G600 MMO mouse is the issue—its thumbpad (buttons 1 through 12 or "1 thru =") stops responding, then resumes normal input. The rest of the mouse functions properly, as does my keyboard. Other programs like "Advanced Combat Tracker" (for Final Fantasy XIV) also freeze unpredictably, though FFXIV operates normally during these events.

Here are my system details:
- OS: Windows 11
- Motherboard: Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX
- CPU: i7 13700K
- GPU: RTX 4080

I have attempted various fixes without success:
- Performed a memory test with 4 successful passes and no errors.
- Ran SFC, which detected a corrupt file and repaired it, though problems persist afterward.
- Reinstalled the Nvidia driver without results.
- Ensured monitor refresh rates matched 60Hz (main monitor at 144Hz for testing), but it had no impact.
- Adjusted numerous settings in Nvidia's control panel without improvement.

This situation is quite erratic, and I’m struggling to find a clear starting point. Any advice would be invaluable.

Have you installed Intel inf chipset drivers?
Can you execute the userbenchmark test and provide a link to the results?
What is the RAM configuration of your system?
Would you like me to share screenshots from CPU-Z memory and spd sections? (upload to imgur.com and post the link)
What type of PSU are you using? (full model name)

Intel inf Drivers: If they didn't come with Windows Updates or Gigabyte's GCC, I didn't specifically. I did find some Intel drivers, also the "INF Utility" driver from GCC,
is that what you're referring to?
UserBenchmark:
Link to bench test
.
RAM Config: Sorry for being noobish but do you mean which slots I put it in or like, in the BIOS Settings?
- Hardware: Slots 2 and 4 as recommended by the MoBo
- Software: Untouched, left default in the BIOS.
Screenshots from CPU-Z:
Link to screenshots
.
Edit: I'm a bad who can't follow directions, lol.
Here's the Memory tab.
PSU: Corsair RM1000x, and here's an
Amazon link to it
.

The screenshot confirms they're present in GCC, and the XMP files are ready.

The benchmark outcomes are improved.
Are you still experiencing "freezing" problems?

In the last about ten minutes it randomly activates, so I'll remain alert to check if this is occurring. I'll definitely share an update once it happens, but for now, thank you for your assistance! Also, before my first message, I reinstalled FFXIV to determine if that might be the cause, since I think most of the freezing happened when the game was running. It's possible a fresh install could have resolved the problem, though I'm not certain.

It has been roughly 7 hours with no problems still. Thanks again, SkyNetRising! I’m still unsure if it was the XMP setup or reinstalling FFXIV, but for now the problem appears fixed!
