Are the wireless keyboard and mouse causing issues together?
So, I encountered an unforeseen issue. Recently, I got a lapdesk with a wireless keyboard (I already had a wireless trackball) so I could stream PC gaming from my recliner to my TV. But when I set it up, my mouse kept disconnecting. Since the recliner is only about 10 to 15 feet away from my PC, with no obstacles in the way, I suspect the new wireless keyboard might be causing the problem. Both devices use small dongles to connect to the PC for signals.
I’m looking into possible fixes. My main thought is to switch to Bluetooth connectivity in the mouse instead. However, I’m not very optimistic because my PC’s Bluetooth isn’t very reliable. I tried it with an Xbox controller once, and it was terrible—constant disconnections.
I’m not sure what other options are available...
What model of your mouse do you have and has the wireless range been checked? Have you attempted to disconnect the keyboard adapter and tested the mouse independently to rule out interference from the keyboard?
