Are the Nvidia Control Panel video color adjustments not working in VLC media player? Any solutions?
I really enjoy boosting saturation, and the Nvidia Control Panel's video color option works well for me, but it doesn't help with VLC media player. No matter what I try—restarting settings, removing and reinstalling VLC—I still can't make it follow the color preferences.
What might have caused this? Are there any solutions or workarounds I should know about?
Update your post with complete hardware details and operating system information.
Source for VLC? What version are you using?

Did you remove, download, and reinstall VLC yourself? Are you not relying on any third-party installers or tools?
I discovered the following VLC link:

Could you test those settings? A command-line tweak might also help.
Completed! The source came from the official Videolan website.
Version 3.0.16 (64) bit
I first removed it manually, then attempted to uninstall using IObit uninstaller without success.
The settings worked only when the Nvidia panel's color options were reset to defaults, which was the expected behavior. That meant VLC could adjust video colors for the player, but not system-wide. Unfortunately, VLC didn’t follow that change.
🙁
But changing the video output mode in VLC to Direct3D9 made it comply with the Nvidia panel settings, though this didn’t work for x265 compressed files.
