Are the BSoDs causing instability?
Are the BSoDs causing instability?
An update here!
Since Wednesday, after lowering the clock speed to 4.9GHz, I didn’t see any BSoD messages and performed the same tasks as before, so there’s no noticeable change.
Today I tried increasing it back to 5.0GHz and encountered a BSoD after about eight hours of use.
Based on this, I think 5.0GHz is likely unstable for whatever reason.
Also, if the issue was related to RAM or software, I would have experienced a BSoD during the 4.9GHz session two days prior.
did you verify the ram? i believe the problem might be related to your ram or the motherboard...
It's his original character, he had no problems at 4.9Ghz.
His performance may fade over time.
I haven't run memtest86 before, but it seems straightforward. It's sold through a PC building company.
I have an Asus Rog Strix Z390-F with Corsair Vengeance RGB 3000MHz at 16GB (2x8).
Does testing the XMP setting make any difference?
The USB key triggers a boot process, right? And you're using MemTest86 for verification?
Yes, you simply start from it and press test using the keyboard. A single pass is sufficient.
