Check the reliability history or monitor event viewer. Either tool might record error codes, warnings, or messages just before or during the video and/or camera app failure.

Execute the built-in Windows troubleshooters. They could identify and resolve issues.
Also attempt "dism" and "sfc /scannow". Possible corrupted files may be present.

I believe it might be a camera setting in Windows that isn't activated. I tested mine last night and encountered the same issue—audio is working but video isn't. Checked the Windows settings and found a camera toggle that wasn't enabled. It could be a similar problem with yours. My PC isn't affected, so I won't check again until later today. I also plugged my device into the back USB port.
I reviewed the Event Viewer but didn't see any entries related to the camera. My knowledge of E.V. might be limited, so perhaps I wasn't examining the correct section. I executed the Windows troubleshooters, but nothing helpful came up. I ran "sfc /scannow" and it found no integrity issues. All camera and permission settings are activated, turned off and back on. The cameras appear in the Bluetooth & devices > Cameras menu. In Device Manager they're listed under "Sound, video and game controllers" as HD Pro Webcam C920. I use a separate microphone, Elgato Wave 3, for Discord, Teams, etc., and kept it disabled since I've had it before. I re-enabled it today to test, but it still doesn't capture video. Updating my motherboard BIOS might help? I'm currently on a non-beta version from June, and the problem began in August.
How many years old is your device?
Have you confirmed it's activated for every application?
I'll review it once more today to ensure accuracy.
I constructed it last June, around a year ago. The system I used before is now my sim racing PC, and it's set up for all applications. Discord isn't included in the list, though I'm unsure if that was the case since I never needed to enable or check it.
I question whether the latest bios update will make a difference. This device has been in use for several years, and I plan to share a screenshot.
Camera Settings
My preferences align with yours, but nothing seems to work. The Windows Camera app finally loaded after some time, requesting permission and directing me to its settings. It also had a "Get help" option that launched a troubleshooter for the camera error code 0xA00F4245. Despite this, it still appears as a connected camera in devices, and selecting it causes an endless preview. I've attached a picture.
Go to Settings, then Apps, and select the installed apps. Click the three dots next to Camera and choose Advanced Options. This lets you manage Discord as a default, terminate, repair, reset, or uninstall. A reset might be useful. Refer to this link about the error code: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/fix-0xa00...on-windows
I didn't find Discord as the default to install but I did reinstall the camera app. It produced essentially the same issue I encountered before upgrading to Windows 11, except the message inside the brackets changed from <PageOpenFailed> to <WindowShowFailed>. You can't launch your camera. If you're confident the camera is connected and working, verify that drivers are up to date.
