Are RAM speeds failing to function properly?
I bought a 3800x to upgrade from my 2600x. I updated the BIOS (version 3003 for ROG Strix B450-f) to ensure compatibility. Now, when I enable DOCP in BIOS it shows a change from 2133mhz to 3000mhz. It then loops a few times during boot, as if it's memory training. After that, when it boots into Windows, it still displays 2133mhz even though the BIOS says 3000mhz. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
Even though it mentions 3000MHz, if the system is stuck in a loop, it could be due to memory issues. It might also indicate an overclock failure, since DOCP is essentially about that.
Memory failed to train. You receive several reboots before the BIOS resets to safe settings. Attempt to specify the frequency yourself, together with primary timing values, and adjust the DRAM voltage to match the RAM requirements. This should allow the motherboard to boot successfully. Also, consider manually setting your IF.
