With a GTX 1050 you could run most games at low settings, though a fresh setup would be better.

Are there any recent titles? Not really. A full overhaul would be necessary; even a mid-range model would easily surpass this setup today.

Motherboard: Gigabyte EG45M-DS2H
RAM: Kingston HyperX (4GB) 400MHz overclocked to 480 MHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT (1GB)
Storage: 1TB Western Digital WDC WD10EZEX-00BN5A0
-Intel stock cooler
-Case with 2 fans (front and side panel)
========================
FSB Frequency: 333 Stock (400V)

There aren't any modern games suitable for this setup. A full upgrade would be necessary; even a basic i3 would struggle with the system now.

My specs are meant for GTA IV, but when I try to run it, it lags and only manages 16-30 FPS.
Gta IV is one of the worst ports available. It demands significantly more power than its recommended specs allow to even run smoothly at 30 fps.
