You're really excited about Windows 9 and want to get it installed as soon as it launches. I don't think you'll wait, even if it costs money—you'd probably install it across all your PCs right away!

I'll set it up once the full release is available.

Is it really free? Something interesting from Microsoft? Not sure.

Looking for Win7 support? I’ll keep using it until I find a newer system. Compatibility with my old games is important to me.

I think there should be no major issues, as most compatibility problems can usually be fixed by enabling comp mode. It really depends on whether a very low-cost early release was offered, similar to what happened with Windows 8—you ended up getting it for a fraction of the regular price.

I primarily use Windows for gaming and tech support on my Mac, most of the time. Honestly, if I can avoid having to upgrade from Windows 7 for a while, I’d be happy about it. Unless it’s free and works well, then I’m all in. Windows 8 was a costly $30 purchase, but at least I didn’t have to deal with Classic Shell.

We'll observe and assess the situation. It hinges on whether I need to purchase it or not—uncertain if my Dreamspark account will have it when released or if I'll receive a free upgrade. Based on the leaks, it appears to be Windows 8.1 with minor modifications, which isn't overly enthusiastic for me. For those eager to witness the event, The Verge offers a live blog: LINK

I typically wait for SP1 with every new Windows release. The excitement about version 9 makes me consider upgrading one machine just to try it, as we're expecting a solid update.
