Are games frequently crashing and experiencing audio issues?
This problem has been ongoing since my first purchase of a PC. My games function normally until they suddenly stop or require forcing the computer off. Another recurring issue is audio glitches when playing through the HDMI port (since I don’t have a monitor, I use a TV). Initially, I suspected the GPU was the cause—I owned a GTX 1650—but now I have an RX 5700 XT and still face the same problems. After selling my 1650 to a friend who has no issues, I thought it might be the CPU (Ryzen 5 3400G). However, for some time my CPU cooler support stopped working, which caused slow performance but no audio problems until after installing the cooling system, when both crashes and audio issues reappeared.
I have performed several stress tests recently to investigate further. I ran prime95 and MSI-01 stress tests lasting over an hour without any crashes; during these sessions, my CPU stayed below 80°C and my GPU maintained similar temperatures. The (GL) MSI-02 (PhysX4 CPU - hard) from MSI Kombustor lasts about 10 minutes before crashing, requiring a restart because the image becomes unstable.
I can only see the afterburner in the picture, but the overall desktop appearance matches what’s shown. Do you think there might be another cause for these issues? I have already reinstalled all drivers.
I'm considering it might be a PSU issue or overheating of a component. I plan to use a tool like hw64 to check for this. Could you share what the audio glitch sounds like?
