Guys I need to purchase a power supply but a thought popped into my head. Just in case you know, the 5090 almost needed dual 16 pin connectors due to its high power draw. I want to confirm if it's okay to buy a 1000w or 1200w one that lasts a long time, since power supplies aren't usually upgraded and you don't want to buy a weaker one first for the 5070. With the 6090 coming out, will everyone need to get new supplies or is there an adapter for modular ones?

Creating adapters to use a PSU with components it wasn't built for is seldom advisable.
