I frequently engage in a variety of games ranging from easy titles such as Dead Cells and Factorio to more challenging ones like Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, Destiny 2, and Sea of Thieves. Throughout these experiences, I often encounter frame drops. When using Vsync, my frame rate fluctuates between 60 and 59 to 58 to 56, typically every few seconds. Occasionally, when something loads, the drop can reach 50 to 45 and then rebound to 60. In Sea of Thieves, if I’m near an island, my frame rate can fall from 100 to 70 to 80 and then rise again. However, these spikes tend to occur unpredictably, often between 60 to 57 or 100 to 80 to 95. My concern is whether this behavior is normal or something I should avoid.

it's typical when you're getting closer to a more dense or detailed area, as it increases the system's load, but everything stabilizes once it handles the load. this occurs in all games and nearly every PC, unless you have a top-of-the-line machine that you haven't even reached the drop zone. again, it's normal.

Thank you. It's understandable sometimes the drop happens while walking or shooting, possibly due to background loading. Either way, it's normal.

I think so, yes. Perhaps the issue lies with the background programs if any are active.

I'm guessing that it's normal too. I saw another similar post on this forum and someone answered that no matter what system you have you will experience Fps Drops in Pretty much all of the games. he said that it's because of the fact that your hardware has a lot to process and he also mentioned that if you lower your settings the drops will become rarer since there is less pressure on the system.

Adjusting the settings is usually the first step you take, and it often works best. You should verify that your GPU drivers and Windows are current. Also, what type of motherboard do you have?

I actually have a Z490 Msi A Pro motherboard. I'm using a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler. I'm not sure if overclocking the CPU is necessary, but I'll keep it in mind. Thanks a bunch for reassuring me that it's normal!
