I've been enjoying Halo Infinite at 1080p on a 1440p display thanks to my 1050ti graphics card. I chose a lower resolution for better frame rates, but after reading some reviews about the new Elden Ring, I considered switching to ultrawide mode. The game shows black bars on the sides when you play in that setting. What if I reversed it and tried a 2560x1080 resolution on my 1440p monitor? It could look really immersive and might improve performance while keeping sharp visuals. Am I being insane or clever?

I often execute windowed mode to customize the screen space according to personal preferences.

The optimal setting matches the native resolution of your LCD monitor. Your graphics card can be adjusted to consistently display a particular size. For instance, you might choose 1920x1080 and, when the game suggests 1920x960, the card will maintain the original resolution while centering the image vertically, adding black borders at the top and bottom. You can also define custom resolutions via Windows display settings or the card’s control panel. See what I mentioned earlier.

That's exactly what I did. I didn't think it would be this easy. So cool. Just played a match with it, and It's really great.
