Use isopropyl alcohol along with a paper towel or coffee filter, as these are better at preventing residue.

When purchasing your own paste, make sure to leave only a tiny dot in the center—no bigger than a pea. It may not look much at first, but after the cooler is installed, it will spread evenly. Using too much paste can cause performance problems with the cooler.

Also worth mentioning is that only a handful of water coolers manage to outperform a top-tier air cooler. The Cryorig H7 will surpass many more costly block coolers, while a very pricey closed-loop system would need to match the performance of an NH-D15. In comparison, water coolers tend to be significantly noisier than air ones. Generally, closed-loop water coolers don't offer much improvement over well-priced air coolers on average.

^^ The idea is often misunderstood. Many believe 'liquid cooling' means a real water cooling system, but it's far from that. This is the assumption manufacturers rely on to charge more rather than investing in air coolers.

I received the parts and the liquid cooler is working nicely, much quieter than the V6 cooler master tower cooler I had earlier.
