Hi everyone,
My monitor is connected to an Nvidia 4090 through a DP cable.
The audio channel from this connection worked perfectly until recently: the audio device vanished.
In Device Manager it was previously listed under 'Audio inputs and outputs'.
Using an HDMI cable didn’t restore it either.
A USB headset also disappeared after a few weeks, though it’s still detected in 'Sound, video and game controllers' but not selectable in Windows audio settings.
It appears to show up under 'Audio inputs and outputs' when plugged in, but only as a 'USB Composite Device' under 'Universal Serial Bus controllers'.
The headset functions on my laptop, so the issue seems to be with my PC.
I’ve reinstalled the Nvidia driver, the headset driver, and the Realtek audio device driver, but nothing resolves the problem.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Run a file scan or repair process. Launch a command prompt and input "sfc /scannow" without quotes. Verify the device manager for any issues with the hardware and its driver setup (no exclamation marks). Consider using a different D-Point and cable if available.

sfc /scannow reported that files were fixed, yet the problem persists after restarting. In Device Manager, there are no warning symbols next to it. The device is recognized (displaying the headset's name), but it appears in 'Sound, video and game controllers' instead of 'Audio inputs and outputs'.
