Usually you'd allocate more for a six-core setup. It seems 8c/16t might become common, but could shift from 4c/8t to 8c/16t.

Looking for an Xbox alternative that connects to a TV. You mainly enjoy city-building RTS and sometimes X games, all fairly demanding. You're on a tight budget, so choosing between storage or RAM will be key.

You could wait a little longer and consider boosting the budget to around 200-150 for the CPU. Are you interested in getting a Ryzen 5 3600? What is your overall budget looking like?
