Arctic Silver 5, MX-4 and Ceramique-2 in a comparison
Arctic Silver 5, MX-4 and Ceramique-2 in a comparison
I own an AMD FX 8350 known for its heat output. I've been pairing it with Arctic Silver 5 and a 4 heatpipe cooler from Aliexpress. The setup works well, maintaining temperatures below 72°C while running Prime95 (ambient 30-35°C). No overclocking has been done. Now my AS5 is out of stock, and I'm considering buying one for both my laptop (i7 3610QM, runs at 85°C with Prime95) and the FX8350. Which thermal paste should I choose? The Arctic Silver 5 costs 650 INR, the MX-4 is 600 INR, and Ceramique is just 250 INR. I'm open to Ceramique for its low price but want to know if it matches the performance of the AS5 I currently use. Also, which is better between the AS5 and the MX-4? Thank you!
Noctua's thermal compound also proved effective without any drawbacks. Similar to many of the previous thermal pastes, some newer 'wonder thermal pads' performed just as well, offering a worry-free experience. Below, Linus tests an IC Graphite pad with a 7980XE and observes temperatures around 1°C higher than with paste. View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpphKzmDiJM
