Hey everyone, I’m reaching out since some of you might be familiar with my role here. I’m working on building a cost-effective live streaming solution using seven 1080p IP cameras. We need to record a Zoom meeting while simultaneously capturing one or three cameras at the same time. The stream will go to YouTube through OBS, and the Arc Graphics AV1 encoder can really help smooth things out. I was thinking the Battlemage AV1 encoder in the 285k model might work well for this setup. Has anyone checked if encoding this way is practical? Also, I just noticed I mixed up the 285h and 285k specs—I might have a GPU issue on my hands. Updated May 28, 2025 by Br0nz3.

The character with 285k is Alchemist, not a Battlemage.

Interestingly, the outcome remains largely unaffected by this scenario.

It doesn’t seem like AV1 offers any advantage in this situation. Using YouTube provides them with high H.264 bitrates while maintaining similar quality. The processor should handle it just fine.
