Hello once more, everyone. After purchasing a decent noctua cooler for the CPU, my PC keeps restarting during games. The GPU and CPU temperatures are normal, I've replaced the RAM and GPU, yet the issue persists. My suspicion remains the CPU is faulty—though I expected it to have booting problems, which it doesn’t. It seems to function properly unless I play a new game, and the GPU drivers are up to date. Unless there’s another software-related cause, I believe the problem lies with hardware. Consider using a spare SSD or mechanical drive to install a fresh Windows setup. Let Windows update itself and apply the newest GPU drivers. Install just one game, skip everything else, and check if the problem remains. It usually takes around an hour, helping you rule out software issues. If it still doesn’t work, try replacing the CPU; otherwise, your hardware might be the cause.
I’d suggest testing the CPU with a few full mem tests before purchasing—it’s a good precaution. Memory issues tend to show up as blue screens rather than restarts, and it’s completely free. Do you notice any clicking sounds from the power supply when the screen goes dark? Also, does this happen consistently or only during games? Are you experiencing it with just one game?

will attempt memtest86 but already swapped RAM with another set I owned; it worked after a restart. It appears the issue isn't tied to any particular game, just recent titles. How loud would the PSU click sound be? I haven’t noticed it yet, even if it does occur.
Then memtest seems pointless. Swapping RAM is similar to checking what you already have. If there’s a problem initially, it might just be the power supply failing. Your graphics card probably isn’t large enough to cause this issue. Regarding other concerns, I was wondering if games are the issue—possibly due to heat or software stability. There’s a possibility it’s overclocked, which is something @johnno23 could confirm. I’m just hesitant because high-end CPUs are expensive. Appreciate the effort, I've already tried reinstalling Windows and applying updates.
the cpu isn't overclocked but the gpu is running at stock speed. I haven't had a chance to test the ssd yet since I'm currently working. If I replace the cpu, it would be covered by warranty, so in the worst case I'd have to send it back to the supplier for a new one—just two weeks without the pc, which is a bit frustrating.
