I bought a refurbished ASRock B350M but found thermal paste on the socket. How can I safely take it off without harming my motherboard?

I haven't done it myself, but if I were, I'd use a tiny plastic pick. Carefully remove most of the compound. Usually, thermal paste isn't conductive, so you're unlikely to damage your CPU or motherboard. Someone shared a generous amount, and it's super easy to find!

Place it in the dishwasher...? That’s serious! I’m taking this very seriously. The 8auer is a famous German enthusiast known for pushing things to their limits.

Make sure to clean the area around the socket carefully. I wouldn't want any rubbing alcohol getting inside.
