You should carefully clean the area around the CPU with isopropyl alcohol to remove any excess thermal paste. If needed, use a small brush or cotton swab to gently lift it off. Always ensure the CPU is dry before reassembling.

Obtain a contact electronic spray, apply it closely and continue until it disappears. Similar to this option.

Alcohol used as a medium, dental floss made from non-fibrous material, and a bit of perseverance. You might also try immersing it in alcohol just below the pins, avoiding soaking the entire area, though it won't harm the IHS. Let it sit to work its magic over time.

Couldn't the force from the spray can damage the pin?

A typical toothpick would handle the majority of the task.

I also suggest using a magnifying glass.

Use 91% isopropyl alcohol with toothpicks. Submerge a toothpick in the solution and gently guide paste along the edge. It works well if you apply minimal pressure. Rely entirely on the toothpicks for support. Be patient throughout the process. Employ compressed air to clear any leftover material.

Both options are possible, though a higher percentage would be simpler.
