Initially assume your GPU is pushing too much on your display. When you see a black screen, disconnect and reconnect your monitor cable. If an image appears, check the GPU driver settings and adjust the resolution or refresh rate to match your monitor's capabilities.
I used it on a 4K monitor before, but it didn't work. I switched to another one, though it still isn't functioning properly. I'm going to try the 4K version again now.
Everything is broken now—nothing displays anything. I only accessed the log once before it became unusable.
Second guess, power problem. What size PSU do you have? A 500W minimum would be ideal with this graphics card. If you own a volt meter and an exposed Molex connector on the power supply, you can test it. Connect the wires to the yellow and black pins on the Molex. Set your device to measure DC voltage and observe any drop when the card starts or appears black. If the reading falls below around 11.75V, it likely points to a voltage issue causing crashes. Also, verify that your GPU power connectors are secure and properly connected.
500watt power supply works with any PSU, board, and GPU setup I've tried, but only once I got a working start.
