I use them together for personal tasks. Do you think Yosemite might affect how Mac functions?

Set up a hackintosh to enjoy the strengths of both platforms. Use Maverick for regular tasks and Windows for gaming and certain educational needs that aren’t supported on Mac.

I rely on osx for daily tasks, once enjoyed gaming on my PC, but recently discovered the great value of Steam for home streaming. Now I mainly focus on keyboard and mouse games.

I think Windows performs better for gaming, even on my modest setup. It runs more smoothly and has fewer problems. When I modified my system to run Hackintosh, it worked well for video editing and photo browsing. I managed to play some mid-range titles like Quake 4 and a few older games, though not as smoothly as on native Windows. A proper Mac would have been ideal for gaming, but the cost was too high given the limited upgrade options for hardware. Still, OS X boots up quickly out of the box since it's built for specific machines, and each platform has its strengths. It really depends on your needs. With my AMD processor, I only reached a maximum of 7.5 with my current configuration before I gave up.

The choice boils down to whether you're ready to invest in a Mac or not. LINUX MASTER RACE Hackintoshes are impressive, but OS X often limits them due to compatibility issues with Linux-based systems. Windows, on the other hand, runs smoothly on modern hardware as long as it's up-to-date. LINUX MASTER RACE is real.

Linux!!! I’ll share my reasons. I don’t rely much on Mac OS X, so I can’t directly compare the two. Although I’m not a fan of Apple’s graphical interface, Windows has its own issues—like insisting it be the only operating system. My main fondness for Linux is that when something goes wrong, it usually feels like my mistake or user error rather than the OS itself.
