Apple vs Windows
Apple vs Windows
I use both Win 8.1 Pro and OS X Mavericks. I use Mavericks most of the time because it does simply work better on my mac. I also have all the software I need and generally like the inter face better. This is subjective though. I use Windows for games.
Windows 8.1 performs adequately now, especially after installing StartIsBack and using Clover File Browser, which integrates tabs into Windows Explorer like a web browser. OSX 10.9.x also works well. I rely on both for everyday use and they match in quality honestly. OSX excels for web development and terminal tasks, while Windows shines in gaming. Source: I own a Windows 8.1 pro machine and a MacBook Air—they’re both solid. If forced to choose, Windows edges out mainly for games, though it’s not significantly better overall. It just takes some getting used to the subtle differences in OSX.
Both options work just as well. I use Windows 8.1 on my gaming PC and OS X Mavericks on my Macbook Pro. Great versatility!
I rely solely on Windows since it supports every game I need. I believe OS X provides a more pleasant experience.
If OS X offered more gaming compatibility, I’d definitely switch without hesitation. The main issue is its lack of game support compared to Windows. That’s why I chose not to build a Hackintosh this time. I still use Mavericks in a VM for X-Code, though.
OS X runs on a Unix system, that's settled. But really, the only advantage Windows offers is its popularity, the fans, and the people who don't understand.
