I don't even know where to begin, and I'm sure someone here has already complained/ranted about this crap. So, I'm currently running OS X 10.10 beta on my iMac. Bugs and unexpected crashes aside, as it is expected from any beta OS, there is a thing that REALLY grinds my gears. And that thing is the completely retarded way the traffic lights work now. You know what they are, those red, yellow and green buttons on the top left of every window. Until the OS X 10.9 they worked fine, they did what they were supposed to do and there wasn't any issues. That is, until someone in Apple remembered that you don't really need the "+" button, since it seems nobody really maximises windows automatically in OS X. Funny, isn't it? Essentially, out of the box you have these buttons: So, by order, you see the close button, minimize button and... wait for it... the goddamn retarded full screen button. As if the full screen button on the past iterations of the OS wasn't okay on the top right. But no worries! With the simple long press of the alt key the full screen button will be swiftly replaced by the good old "+" button, which will let you maximise your window. All is good now, right? Well, no. Not really. You see, even if you press the alt key and click the maximise button it'll will full screen your app. Then, you'll have to disable the full screen mode and try again and only then it will actually work and maximise the window as it was supposed to in the first place. And I seriously doubt this is a bug, there have been at least 2 major updates since the beta was released and this wasn't fixed yet. Nice one Apple. Really nice one.

Maximize opens your screen to the fullest available space, while fullscreen places you inside a completely blank window. The former uses more system resources, the latter hides most of the background.

Apple's interface for windows has consistently been lacking. Initially, I would install RightZoom to improve the experience, and it works similarly to what you see on Windows.

It seems unclear about the need for fullscreen mode with multiple workspaces. I’m confident a keyboard shortcut exists for this situation, similar to what’s available for other functions.

In short, fullscreen removes the menu bar and dock. It’s unnecessary when using OS X on a larger display. Managing multiple workspaces is frustrating for me.

The fullscreen mode is really frustrating! >:c I think there might be ways to bring back the maximize button.

Pressing the alt key brings up the maximize option. However, it doesn't function properly—it didn't work at all during the first attempt.

This situation arises because a structured approach can actually support your OCD tendencies rather than hinder them.

That's definitely more effort, and it might just be a small issue that isn't functioning properly.

I have no idea, it seems I don’t enjoy handling several workplaces.
