It doesn't work for everyone, but it helps many. I'm pointing out that the system is flawed and it's leading to electronic waste. If the gadget was stolen, you can activate lost mode to reach the rightful owner!
You can also activate Lost Mode, which blocks device usage and provides a method to reach the owner. Alternatively, you can remotely wipe the device if you're concerned about its security.
