Apple Activation Lock feature
Apple Activation Lock feature
I purchased an Apple iPad 6th Gen from ShopGoodwill recently, but it was locked. After erasing it and getting activation lock, I’m trying to bypass it. I’ve reached out to Apple several times for assistance, but they’re unwilling to help. My goal is to get into drawing, so removing the activation lock is important. It’s presented as a security measure, yet there’s no way for Apple or anyone else to reach the original owner and lift the restriction. The only solution seems to be if the original owner has technical skills to remove it. There’s no system in place for Apple or a bot to contact them. Activation Lock is broken, contributing to millions of devices becoming e-waste. I think a petition would be a good step forward. It’s been frustrating. If anyone can help, I’d really appreciate it.
We’re unable to assist based on forum guidelines. The only person who can help is the original owner.
Someone must completely halt the activation lock issue! Apple has been creating issues with this. While I support security measures, this situation is ridiculous! Many of my devices have been affected, and it’s unacceptable.
I get your point, but it might be worth exploring. This tool has existed for about ten years, yet it seems to cause more issues than benefits. I believe Mac Address could benefit from a video or similar content since few prominent creators discuss this topic.
I appreciate the activation lock. That way, even if someone tries to access it, they won't be able to use it. You purchased the item. Please return it and receive your refund.
But what if death happens and your loved ones dispose of your Apple gadgets? They end up as electronic waste, lost forever and unusable. It’s really concerning that Apple can boast about environmental responsibility while doing this.
