I'm experiencing a compatibility problem with the What's App on an Apple iPhone 1. Could you let me know which version of the app was supported by that device?

Haha, it might never have been... The original iPhone uses iOS 2 (maybe 3?), and I don't believe WhatsApp even existed at that time... Sorry, bud. EDIT- even if you could, the app isn't signed anymore, and you'd have to have a developer certificate to use unsigned apps, but iOS 3 isn't supported anymore, so that's also out of the question. EDIT 2- THERE IS HOPE! If you install WhiteD00r, a custom firmware that's based off iOS 4 and looks like 7, is made for older iDevices that are unsupported. WA needs iOS 4.2, so it might work! http://www.whited00r.com/iPhone2G?lang=en

It's really outdated. Almost impossible to use the settings app on that device.

WhatsApp's help center states compatibility with all iPhones. For the original 2G version, it needs iOS 3.1 or newer, possibly requiring an update. Updated FAQ notes a minimum requirement of iOS 4.3 for smooth operation.

I've switched to iOS 3... Now what should I do to get it working?
