I have several m.2 SSDs, but only one serves as your primary gaming drive—filled with competitive titles like LoL and Valorant. You can install Steam on that main drive, but it’s not necessary for performance. Downloading Apex Legends separately won’t impact speed; it just adds another game to the drive. Stick with one game per drive for optimal results. Thanks!

When both devices use NVMe, they should both offer quick loading speeds. The quicker the drive, the better the performance, though the difference won't be significant. Either option will work adequately.

For optimal results, consider running both Steam and Apex Legends on a single M.2 SSD. This setup avoids potential conflicts and ensures smoother performance.

Everything is fine, I store my games on another drive for Xbox Game Pass and Steam.

It's not a big deal at all. A standard 2.5ssd won't noticeably affect gaming performance. If you use a gen 3.0 or 4.0 nvme drive, the games should load more quickly. However, during gameplay it doesn't really matter.
