Apex Legends Crashing
Apex Legends Crashing
Hi! Over the past year I've faced issues with Apex Legends not launching properly. It would crash right after startup without any warning. I've reinstalled drivers, updated BIOS, adjusted settings like FPS and started with DX12, even cleaned my system but the problem persisted. Have you encountered similar problems? In the event log I see an error about a missing file: Faulting application name: r5apex.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x65bd531e. The module is nvgpucomp64.dll, version 31.0.15.5152, and it seems to be failing with code 0xc0000005. If you need help resolving this, let me know.
It might be due to dx12 because Apex just changed recently—try turning it off via Steam command line settings.
I attempted using dx11 as default, but for DX12 you must turn it on via Steam's command line. However, the issue remains the same—games still crash regardless of the engine used.
I9-13900k paired with Z790EG gaming RTX 4090 using DDR5 32GB memory. Tried adjusting XMP profile clock speed but issue persisted. Power supply rated at 1000W, likely a premium platinum model possibly from Corsair.
Use DUDE to fully remove all driver installations, then reinstall them via GeForce Experience.
I tried that too, but it still doesn't work. However, when I played the game without graphics drivers it started normally without any crashes, though it was extremely slow—around 1 to 5 frames per second. After I reinstalled the drivers again, it went back to crashing again.
