Hello everyone, I'm asking about framerates in Apex Legend. Is it typical for my system to struggle maintaining 144fps? I've adjusted settings and sometimes reach 140, but it drops to 120 during intense moments. The specs are: i7 9900k OC 5GHz, Aorus gaming master, Trident Z RGB 32GB 3200, GTX 2080TI MSI Lightning Z. Price is RM 850X.

What are the maximum configurations? With such powerful hardware, one wouldn't be surprised. A 5ghz processor and 2080Ti graphics card are impressive, but 4K gaming is only for those with significant resources (NVlink could help).

I thought you'd be using the maximum setting, given the equipment available. But 120-140 fps works well for your setup since you're playing at 4k and using the highest preset. Yes, it's completely acceptable. If you need more details, look at FPS tests on YouTube to see how you compare with others having similar specs.

I'm testing it in 1080p with a medium setting.

I receive 120-140 frames per second using my configuration (sig) at 1440p with medium adjustments.

Yeah, I checked and it was 1080p at the smallest setting, but I adjusted the streaming budget to 8GB.

It's quite typical during streaming, Shroud uses an I7 8700k and 2080 Ti F.E. It doesn't usually hit 144fps even with his custom configurations (I don't know the specifics).

No, I don't stream. The streaming budget is an in-game choice depending on your cards. For example, with a 970 you'd pick medium, and with a 2080ti you'd go high. I went for none or low.

Have you checked your driver settings? It seems odd that an 2080 Ti would be more than enough for 1080p resolution.
