I've heard positive feedback about the MSI pro. You don't necessarily need a z790; a z690 would save you money and just update the BIOS. Most 690 boards should support a BIOS flashback. I’d consider swapping out the RAM kit and motherboard—opt for a 2x32 kit with your preferred board. The D15 should handle the load, just reduce its power a bit. If you stick with the D15, add more thermal paste for better cooling. Keep in mind that the 13900k can easily throttle under high temperatures, even at stock settings. An AIO cooler would perform better and boost performance. For varying workloads, a 13700k might be a more practical choice.

I'm looking for a more recent or improved chipset to ensure longevity. My previous setup was from 2018 with the 8700k, so I'm willing to spend a bit more as long as it lasts. I still need sufficient RAM and CPU power because I'm working on game development, and my old CPU began to struggle when running multiple Visual Studio instances and a game editor simultaneously. I might be able to slow it down, but that wouldn't align with this build's goals. I'll likely choose the ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-F or Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360, as suggested by Bob, and will update here once I've installed and tested them.
