It seems like you're having trouble getting the system to work properly. You might want to try re-flashing the BIOS just in case it didn't complete correctly, as the initial setup doesn't appear to be properly training memory (starting with 4C then 0D). Testing with a single stick could be useful, though the ideal slot depends on your motherboard—typically A2 or B2 works best. B2 is generally better for Intel boards, while A2 tends to work better on AMD boards, but both aren't strict rules and it's worth verifying.

ill try flashing bios again, tried it a few times so far and even waited through 2 restarts after pressing but still no light flashing and continuous error codes. i reseated both sticks so ill try again with both and if it still doesnt work ill take 1 out again and test that way

I used just the b2 stick this time, but I only received error code 12 (reserved) without any reboots. The flashing still wasn't possible.

Hi thundah, I set up an account just to share my experience on this issue. I purchased a DDR5 Gigabyte Z690 AORUS master in late 2022, installed everything and it started up fine. I was able to use the PC normally. After two months in March 2023, I encountered an endless loop ending with code 54. I performed multiple BIOS updates using Q-flash, replaced the RAM and CPU, and even switched the RAM type. Nothing changed. Under warranty, I returned the motherboard to the seller, who replaced it and gave me a new one. I installed it four weeks ago. Yet, after three weeks of stable operation, the issue returned. I’ve seen similar reports on Reddit and forums. Now I’m having to send it back, hoping for a refund, but after three attempts, I won’t be reimbursed—only able to buy another product. This model was my first attempt with this brand for motherboards, and it feels like a scam considering the price of 500€. My suspicion is that there are two versions—DRD4 and DRD5—of this model with Z690, but the DRD5 version usually works with 13th Gen Intel CPUs, while DRD5 isn’t functioning properly. I note the CPU is a 13900K and the RAM is Kingston 2x16GB, which is listed as compatible. I believe either the CPU or RAM might be faulty, though I’ve confirmed they work fine when contacted directly by Gigabyte. Their support seems ineffective. Since the problem originated from the motherboard, which was recently replaced for the same issue, I’ll keep updating once the second faulty board arrives.
