I assembled a brand new system using the Z690 platform, 13600KF, Trident Z5 6000MHz/CL30 DDR5. I'm encountering numerous error messages, specifically C2 C4 54. The system will restart after about 30 seconds, repeatedly looping the same process. I've replaced the CPU and attempted to flash the motherboard using a USB drive with F22 BIOS, but reading the error codes in the manual hasn't resolved the issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated since this PC is essential for my work.

Have you reviewed steps 12 to 16? Did you just install Windows and now it's happening? Or are you assembling it and stuck? Is it still waiting in the UEFI/BIOS for a moment? Does the screen show anything? Can you access the UEFI/BIOS settings? Do the NumLock and Caps Lock keys illuminate on the keyboard? We need more information to assist you effectively.

Building on problemsolver, but can you access the BIOS? Did you confirm the BIOS update worked? It seems to resemble a BIOS issue.

Hi, I haven't cleared the CMOS yet but I'm willing to give it a shot. Since I haven't installed Windows yet, the PC shows errors right from the start. When connected to the GPU during the boot process or a failed post, only the RAM lights up unexpectedly.

You're encountering an issue where the error codes appear, but the screen shows nothing beyond the RAM lights.

Would adding a video capture the process through the error codes be helpful? Often it's not just the codes that reveal the problem, but how long each code lasts, what happens next, and what follows. Since it's past 00, the system is identifying the CPU and showing signs of memory training based on the codes listed. A 54 usually means "Memory Training Failed," suggesting the RAM might not be seated properly. My first step would be to reinsert the RAM and then proceed with more detailed troubleshooting.

The thumb drive you're using for the BIOS update is 16GB or less in size.

Check the RAM and try reseating it. Decide whether to boot with one stick or both, and pick the best slot for your system.
