Aorus x870 Elite lacks proper WiFi functionality on the motherboard chipset.
Hi everyone, I assembled a new PC yesterday using the Aorus x870 Elite WiFi motherboard from Gigabyte. I began by updating the BIOS to the latest version, F3j. I installed Windows 11 from a USB drive. I started updating drivers through Gigabytes' "Gigabyte Control Center," but halfway through, the LAN connection dropped. WIFI still functioned, yet the LAN interface was inactive. So far, I've tried: 1) Manual driver updates from the official site, 2) Realtek's updated drivers (different versions), 3) Ensuring the LAN port is enabled in BIOS, and 4) Reinstalling Windows again. The LAN didn't reconnect after these steps. I've also received an error message saying "Network Cable Unplugged," even though it works on other systems. I'm planning to stick with the oldest drivers now but welcome any advice. Thanks!
Here’s a revised version:
My approach was simple: First, install this specific LAN driver version 10.68.815.2023 (link). Then, turn off the LAN adapter in BIOS. Next, restart the PC and enable the LAN adapter again in BIOS. After saving your settings, power on the system. Once everything is set, disconnect the power supply by turning it off and holding the power button for 30 seconds. Finally, switch the power supply back on and start the PC. I tried to assist someone—please follow along with the PC enthusiast community.
I'm facing the same issue with my X870 Aorus Elite WiFi7 ICE. I've tried all the fixes. Changed BIOS versions, turned LAN on in BIOS, reinstalled Windows and drivers from scratch, switched to Linux using the command lspci -vv to check detection, but nothing came through. Also followed Nik230's advice—still no signal. The Ethernet port didn't show up after ordering a new cable before Christmas, so it might be defective. I'm planning to contact Gigabyte support and if that doesn't help, ask Amazon for a replacement or refund. This device is great, but discovering the port is bad after getting a brand-new cable is frustrating. DxDiag.txt
