I discovered several discussions about this setup but they’re quite outdated. The forum tools recommended creating a new thread. My system is built with a Ryzen 3950x on an Aorus Elite x570, featuring two 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX3200MHz DDR4 sticks at 1533MHz. I’ve had to raise the voltage to 1.7V to reach 3200MHz. In the BIOS, it resets at 1533MHz and 1.69V. I was using BIOS F20 with dual-channel mode confirmed via CPU-Z. I mistakenly installed the sticks in A1 and B1 initially, but later switched to single-channel mode. There’s speculation I might have hit 3200MHz in single channel with XMP, though it’s hard to recall after recent changes. Anyone familiar with this configuration running at full speed?
You're operating at 3066MHz with a voltage of 1.7V? That's unusual. ...Place both RAM modules in slots 2 and 4, reset the CMOS, enter the BIOS settings, and turn on XMP.
It seems you're questioning the voltage setting for your 3200mhz C16 kit. At 3066MHz, you're likely running at around 1.45V, which aligns with typical operating ranges.
Gigabyte AMD boards and Corsair RAM often don't mesh well together. I assembled a setup with the X570 Elite and G.Skill TridentZ NEO 3600MHz (CL18) and it functioned properly once XMP was enabled. If possible, return the RAM to ensure compatibility and choose components that match the motherboard's specifications.
It's not always reliable, but using a Gigabyte AMD board with Corsair (a combination not listed in the QVL) has led to issues. I highlighted the QVL too, since the Corsair set I mentioned isn't included on the X570 Aorus Elite's QVL.
